Dolomites Saslong Half Marathon crosses a nature reserve

The Sassolungo group is located in the protected landscape area and borders on the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park, we ask all Saslong runners to commit themselves to the preservation of this nature

The Sassolungo forms part of a protected nature reserve of great environmental and cultural value. It borders the Sciliar-Catinaccio Natural Park, the oldest in South Tyrol, of which in June 2009, due to its outstanding natural beauty and extraordinary geological and geomorphological importance, was awarded the highest accolade for a natural site, entering it onto the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
